Kalvin Movie Review
Kalvin is a Tamil comedy-drama film that promises to be entertaining but fails to live up to expectations. The film tells the story of Kembaraju (G.V. Prakash Kumar), a petty thief who gets caught up in a series of unexpected events.
The strength of the film lies in the witty dialogues and comedic moments with an impressive performance from Bharathiraja. The veteran actor shines in the role of Azhagar, lending much-needed depth to the story. Ivana gives a decent performance as Balamani, but her character lacks development.
However, the film’s pacing is slow and the plot is predictable. The thriller element leaves no impression and the film looks like a mishmash of genres. G. V. Prakash Kumar’s music is memorable, but the cinematography is average.
Despite its flaws, “Karvin” has some highlights, especially in the first half. The film’s message about redemption and second chances is good, but its execution leaves room for improvement.
