When Labatt chases after her car, Maxine punches him in the face, breaking his nose. Maxine receives a VHS tape containing footage of her film when a colleague is murdered in Texas six years ago, and asks her friend Leon, who works at the video store below her apartment, if it’s possible to identify the producer. She tells agent Teddy Knight that Labat has been stalking her, and that he will sort it out. When she goes to the studio, a friendly fellow actress, Molly Bennett, tells Maxine she is going to a party in the Hills. When Leon is murdered by the Night Stalker, Detectives Williams and Torres realize that Maxine is the common denominator in three recent murders. She goes alone, without a word, to the address given to her by Labat, but the detectives follow her. Maxine soon makes a horrifying discovery in the Hills’ house.
