The remake was officially announced in July 2021 as Project 1, marking the maiden venture of 2D Entertainment in Hindi, and the official title was announced in February 2024.
Sarphyra tells the story of Vir Jagannath Maathru, a young man from a poor village in Maharashtra. His goal is to start a low-cost airline that breaks down economic and social barriers. Vir clashes with his father, a non-violence teacher, but feels his father is hesitant because he believes direct action is needed to bring about change. Both father and son are visionaries, but their conflicting views on activism and non-violence drive the story.
