The film is basically inspired by the horrific Nithari killings that took place in Noida. The moment the serial killings of children were noticed, it sent shockwaves through the whole country. The real-life suspects involved Moninder Singh Pandher and his staff member, Surinder Koli. The suspects were given a death sentence, but last year they got cleared of the charges as there was a lack of evidence.
